Windermere Lake Cruises team at Christmas Celebration with free residents’ discount cards

The Windermere Lake Cruises team will be at the Windermere Christmas Celebration this weekend (8 & 9 December) inviting local residents to sign up to its free discount card scheme.
Back for the third year running, rows of traditional market stalls will dominate High Street, Victoria Street and Cross Street as the sights, sounds and smells of Christmas fill the air, attracting an estimated 10,000 people over the course of the weekend.
Anybody with an LA (including in North Lancashire) or CA postcode is eligible to apply for a card, which offers discounts on both Windermere Lake Cruises services and entry to the Lakeland Motor Museum.
Card holders can enjoy 50% off at both attractions until 1 May 2019 and 20% off during the summer season, until October 1. Lancaster University and University of Cumbria students are also eligible to apply, by presenting their students union card. Visitors to this weekend’s event can sign up there and then, with the card produced and sent in the post a few days later.
Windermere Lake Cruises gift vouchers – an ideal Christmas present for lovers of the Lake District, will also be on sale at a 10% discount.
The team will be on hand between 11am and 8pm on Saturday December 8 and between 10am and 4pm on Sunday December 9. For anyone who can’t get to the Christmas Fair, applications can also be made online and in the post. Details can be found here.
The card can be used when purchasing tickets at ticket offices at Bowness, Ambleside (Waterhead) and Lakeside Piers or at the Lakeland Motor Museum. Lost or stolen cards can be replaced free of charge at the ticket offices when proof of local residency is provided.
