Last year the sailings, which take passengers on an enchanting evening journey on England’s longest lake, only took place on Saturday evenings through July and August.
Due to its popularity, extra sailings will now take place on Saturday evenings throughout June as well, starting on June 3, so that passengers don’t miss the experience.
The new menu for 2023 includes home-roasted ham, poached chicken breast with fresh herbs and vegetable tart along with tasty side dishes, seasonal salads and scrumptious sweets. There’s also a fully licensed bar and a dance floor later in the cruise.
The musical backdrop will be provided by live resident band Trickle Charge who play a selection of Latin rhythms, mainstream jazz and tasteful pop as passengers cruise the entire length of Windermere.
Jennifer Cormack, Sales and Marketing Director of Windermere Lake Cruises, said: "Windermere Lake Cruises has always been dedicated to providing unforgettable experiences for our passengers."
"The Evening Buffet Cruise is the perfect way to enjoy the beauty of the Lake District while tucking in to a beautiful buffet! The cruises are very popular so to avoid people missing out we’re resuming them a month earlier than last year. We think they are the perfect way to sail into summer.”
Setting sail at 7pm, each Saturday, from June 3 to August 26, the Evening Buffet Cruise will treat passengers onboard the steamers MVs Teal and Swan to enjoy the summer holiday season.
All cruises depart from Bowness Pier 1.
Tickets must be booked in advance and can be purchased online at www.windermere-lakecruises.co.... or by calling 015394 43360.
All prices include the full lake cruise, live band, two-course buffet and tea and coffee.
Alcoholic drinks are also available for purchase from the fully licenced bar, while well-behaved dogs with an appreciation for good rhythms are also welcome onboard.
