Popular ‘Pensioner Days’ return to Windermere Lake Cruises
Published: 16th September 2014
Windermere’s popular ‘Pensioner Days’ are back this autumn, giving older passengers the chance of 24 hour unlimited travel on scheduled sailings with Windermere Lake Cruises for under £5.00. This special seasonal offer also includes half price entry to three popular visitor attractions.
To commemorate the 100th year Anniversary of World War One and the 70th Anniversary of the D-day landings, Windermere Lake Cruises and Lakeland Motor Museum will also be donating 10p from each local pensioner ticket sold to the Royal British Legion.
For £4.75, local pensioners can enjoy a 24 hour ‘Freedom of the Lake’ pass from Windermere Lake Cruises, making a saving of £13.75 per person. The pass allows unlimited travel on all scheduled boat services and includes free access to the Lake District National Park Visitor Centre at Brockhole.
All other boat tickets cost £2.50. Plus, each pensioner can bring one local friend – OF ANY AGE – on board at the same price. There is also half price adult admission at the Lakeland Motor Museum, Lakeside and Haverthwaite Steam Railway and the Lakes Aquarium.
Any retiree living in the CA and LA postcodes is eligible for the special discounts, available every Friday until the end of October, including:
