Our services are changing from Monday 19 July
Published: 17th July 2021
If you’ve visited us in the past year, you’ll know that the Pandemic changed our services a lot. Thanks for being patient as we introduced social-distancing, ticketed-seating and other measures to keep everyone safe.
From Monday 19 July, The Government’s regulations changed, and our cruises became a more relaxed affair: exactly what a scenic cruise on Windermere should be!
Just in case you’ve forgotten how we used to operate, here’s how we are working (with some new safety measures too). We look forward to welcoming you back on board.
Book online or at the pier
We now take payments at our pier ticket offices. If you can pay contactless we’d really appreciate it.
Bring all your friends and family
We are no longer restricted to the ‘rule of six’, so you can book tickets for 7 passengers or more.
Don’t forget if you’re bringing more than 20 you qualify for our group rate.
Restricted numbers on board
We’re still limiting the numbers of people allowed on board so that everyone has more space to themselves.
Please keep social-distancing if you can.
Masks are optional
You don’t have to wear a mask on board*
*The legal requirement to wear face coverings on public transport has been replaced with guidance. The UK Government recommends that people continue to wear face coverings in crowded spaces, such as indoor areas and on public transport. We are operating at a reduced capacity on board all of our vessels, in an attempt to ensure that the indoor spaces do not become over-crowded.
We ask all passengers to be kind and respectful to others onboard. Although wearing face coverings onboard our vessels and adhering to social distancing is no longer mandatory, some passengers will choose to continue to do so. We will support everyone in making their own choice, keeping our passengers and crew safe, whilst ensuring an enjoyable cruise experience, remains our priority. The decision over whether to wear face coverings or not, whilst on board our vessels, will be for each passenger to take, based on their own judgement
Sit anywhere you like
We no longer have coloured ticketed seating – you can sit anywhere you like on board and if there is space, feel free to move around the vessel
Hand-sanitiser and enhanced cleaning as standard
Don’t worry, we’ve still got lots of hand sanitisation stations on board and there will be enhanced cleaning on board.
Flexible day tickets
You don't have to tell us which outbound and return departure you want to travel on. Your ticket is valid for the day of travel – pick any boat you want on that day.
Cafes and bars back open
Our cafes and bars are now fully open serving hot and cold drinks, snacks and sandwiches. The 'steamers' have full bars on board, our launches have smaller bottle bars.
