New ferry service from Hill of Oaks to Lakeside

Visitors to the Hill of Oaks Lodge and Caravan Park on the shores of Windermere can now catch a new ferry service to Lakeside Pier.
The service run by Windermere Lake Cruises departs from the Hill of Oaks twin piers in the morning at 10am and has 3 return visits departing Lakeside at 1:15pm, 3:15pm and 5:10pm. Customers who use the ferry can benefit from connecting services to Bowness, Brockhole and Ambleside via the wider Windermere Lake Cruises network using the Yellow Cruise from Lakeside Pier. For customers continuing their journey from Lakeside Pier to Bowness, Brockhole or Ambleside, the price of the Hill of Oaks ferry will be discounted from the onward sailing ticket price.
Alternatively, Hill of Oaks holiday makers can spend the day in the Lakeside area making the most of attractions such as Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway, Lakes Aquarium and a shuttle bus connections to Lakeland Motor Museum.
The new service will start on Saturday 18 July and operate throughout the summer (weekends only in September).
