Join in the festive fun with a street festival in the heart of Windermere village.
Victoria Street and High Street (LA23 1AD) will be closed to traffic this weekend as thousands of people are due to descend on the village.
It's a great way to get into the Christmas spirit with family-friendly events, market stalls selling food and drink, local giftware and produce for sale. Add to the mix live music, carol singing, festive catering and a visit from Father Christmas and it's a recipe for a great family day out. Local pubs and restaurants will be opening too so there's no better way to get into the Christmas spirit.

Windermere Christmas Celebration is in the heart of Windermere Village and local bus stops and 2 mins walk from Windermere Railway Station.
Get there by boat
The Windermere area is likely to be busy on this weekend, so avoid the crowds and sail and glide into Bowness Pier from Ambleside or Lakeside. A free shuttle bus will be taking passengers up the hill to the event. More details will be provided here closer to the event.
