We have 3 Webcams on Windermere at Ambleside (Waterhead) Pier, our Head Office near Bowness Pier and at Lakeside Pier.

👁️ Things to look for on this camera

This webcam is based at Ambleside (Waterhead) Pier at the northern tip of Windermere. The camera automatically switches between the following views:

  • Pier 1 - Watch steamers and launches arriving/departing on the Red Cruise
  • Pier 2 - A smaller pier to the right, watch traditional wooden launches arriving/departing on the Green Cruise
  • The view to the left past YHA Ambleside & across the water to the western shore
  • Watch launches heading towards Wray Castle & the start of the Walker's Ticket route down the western shore of Windermere
