Windermere Lake Cruises is a dog friendly attraction
Explore Windermere with your dog – a pet-friendly adventure awaits!
At Windermere Lake Cruises, we believe your four-legged friend deserves to join in on the fun! 🐶
That's why we're proud to be a dog-friendly attraction, welcoming well-behaved dogs on all our cruises and self-drive boats, including our steamers, launches, and traditional wooden vessels.
Your canine companion can join you for free on all of our scheduled cruises. All we ask is that they remain well-behaved and on a lead throughout the journey. Here are a few things to keep in mind:
- No need to mention: There's no need to include your dog in your online booking – just bring them along, free of charge!
- Stay off the seats: To ensure the comfort of all passengers, please keep your dog off the seats.
- Respectful travel: During busy times or if others on board are uncomfortable around dogs, we may ask you to adjust your seating.
- Evening cruises: Dogs are welcome on our summer Evening Buffet Cruise, but be aware that this 2½-hour cruise has no dog rest areas, and the live music may be loud for some pets.
Bring your dog along for an unforgettable adventure on Windermere – we can't wait to welcome you both aboard!
Self-Drive and Rowing Boats – Bring Your Dog Along for the Ride!
We’re delighted to welcome dogs aboard all our self-drive motor boats and rowing boats, available for hire from Bowness and Ambleside. Your furry friend can join you on the water, but for their safety, please ensure they are kept on a lead at all times.
Please be mindful that some dogs have been lost after jumping into the water to chase swans or other wildlife. Keeping your dog secure will help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
